Character Occasions is a leading provider of quality princess, super heroes, and other storybook entertainers.

Our Story

We take the fantasy world characters we all grew up with and turn them into real life people standing before you and your guests. We offer spectacular interactive theme parties and entertainment for your child’s Birthday party or any other special occasion in Grand Rapids, MI and surrounding areas. We have shown on yourall of our CURRENT characters that are available for immediate booking, but we will continue to grow our list monthly. If you have an event you would like to book us for in advance with a certain character(s) in mind, feel free to email us and we will doour best to make it happen for you by the date needed. Remember, we don't only do princesses and superheroes for children, if you're having a thememed party for adults, or if you have a holiday event and need people dressed to support that day such as St. Patty's , Easter, Independence Day, Christmas, Halloween, Sporting Eventsm the list goes on... we can supply characters for them all to fit your needs!

Mini-Package: $60 – One character for 30 minutes – INCLUDES: Photo time + Meet & Greet

Standard Single: $150 – One character for one hour - INCLUDES: Greeting and socializing with guests Photo time for individual photos of guests with the character A theme appropriate gift/presentation for the guest of honor

Upgraded Single: $200 – One character for 90 minutes – INCLUDES: Greeting and socializing with guests Photo time for individual photos of guests with the character A theme appropriate gift/presentation for the guest of honor A theme appropriate activity for up to 12 guests

Princess Makeover: $500 – Three princesses for two hours – INCLUDES: Greeting and socializing with guests Photo time for individual photos of guests with the princesses A princess themed gift/presentation for the guest of honor Dress up clothes for up to 10 guests *Make-up application for up to 10 guests done by the two princesses

Activities

Story Telling

Your chosen character will read their fairytale book (provided by us), to the guests.

Games

Depending on the package you select, age group and type of event you are having, a theme appropriate game will be designated. Such as, sword fighting lessons for super hero parties, etiquette lessons for princess parties, coloring stations, etc. If you have a preference or would like to suggest a different activity we are more than happy to try and accommodate your requests.

ADD-ONS:

• Face Painter - $75 per hour booked
• Goodie Bags - $40 per 15 bags {Themed to your event}
• Nail painting station - $5 per guest {They get to keep the polish they choose}
• Piñata filled with candy - $60 {Themed to your event}
• Princess Make Up Application - Your chosen princess character will apply {basic} make-up (provided by us), to the guests of the party. We suggest hiring one princess per 4-6 guests for this activity in order to keep up with the time allowed. - $35 (up to 12 guest)
• Princess Hair Salon - If the character you choose is a princess, she will do simple yet fun hair do’s for the guests. We suggest hiring one princess per 2-4 guests for this activity to keep up with the time allowed. - $25 (up to 12 guest)

Policies

SUPERVISION

At least one adult is required to be present and responsible during children’s parties. We are not a daycare service, nor is it our job to discipline your child. We are entertainers and are not responsible for unruly or uncooperative children. We kindly ask that you monitor disruptive behavior and attend to any child who does not want to participate. This will help us to provide the best possible party experience for you and your child.

FOOD/DRINK

If you are using our costumes for a dress-up portion of the party we ask that the guests do not eat or drink until they are no longer wearing the costumes.

DEPOSIT+ PAYMENT

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, this goes towards your final bill, with the remainder of your balance due at the end of your event.

We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, cash or money orders.

GAMES/ACTIVITIES

Our games and activities are tailored to suit each party. Each character has a set of activities themed to themselves and what activities are performed will depend on how long the party has been scheduled for, how many children there are and the ages of the children. Games and activities include but are not limited to: coloring, craft-making, face-painting, makeovers, and lessons teaching etiquette, how to be a princess, how to be a hero, etc. Activities are generally chosen per-party and we do take requests! Please note: some activities require use of supplies and do incur a fee.

GRATUITY

It is not required that you tip the performers, but it is greatly appreciated. Our business relies on great performers who will do the job to the best of their ability so that we can grow and continue to bring you the best in character entertainment.

TRAVEL

31-40 miles = $10 additional charge

41-50 miles = $30 additional charge

51-60 miles = $45 additional charge
